When the failures take over your mental health
Feeling of Failure
All of us tend to have hopes from our lives. We cannot control our intensity and come forward with a lot of plannings. Especially the young generation is forward and they have the enthusiasm to pursue their dreams. It is a natural dilemma when you can do a lot of things but you can't do it. Are their expectations unreasonable or we don't have time to look after their dreams and nurture them?
Struggles, we all have heard about. Struggles and success are complementary. If we can have struggles in our life then we can definitely succeed at the level that we are struggling for. Time and support is the need of the hour.
Mental Health
It should not be ignored that a goal-oriented person must be going through many mental ups and downs. In fact, more downs than ups. Maintaining mental equilibrium is necessary because a person is a day in and day out thinking about what has to be done and how it is to be down. Does anyone have any rough idea about how things can be taken forward?
Causes of Mental unrest
- Uncertainties: There is always a second thought in the minds of the struggles. It is similar to do or die. There is not only a single person who has the same goal but it is the world of competition that is leading to more uncertainties.
- Pressure and tension: These two elements of success as well as struggles can't be avoided. If our minds are intriguing then we can not avoid the tensions. The pressure can make its way out through peers or family or environment.
- Demotivation: After trying so hard at a point we may start feeling guilty of doing what we have chosen to do. People around us taunt and make fun. Due to immense demotivation, we start doubting our own calibre.
- Support: Not everybody supports us. After some time we tend to lose our interest as well. So, it better to create a good coordination between our minds and hearts that we barely need any support.
How to overcome? For you and me!
- Develop some coping skills: Struggles needs a lot of patience to witness failure and learn from them. Try to mend the ways which are acceptable to you. Struggles will never allow a comfort zone for us.
- Discussion: Talk about what you feel with your friends and family. It releases half the stress. If no one is around you then talk to an object. No one has listened but you have said it all that you have to.
- Listen to music: Music is one of the best ways to heal our emotions. So, relate a song with yourself and enjoy the same. It can give you a sense of belonging that you are not alone.
- Try something creative: Creatives may include painting, cooking, writing, designing, etc. Try to go to some outdoor activities as well.
So, we should try to make our failure a companion. Remember that the two best friends will always have distinct personalities and LOL!!
